Kirrily Waldhorn

Kirrily Waldhorn, aka Beer Diva, has spent 20 years working in beer. She has appeared on radio, TV, in the press and on stage at The Sydney Opera House, talking about everything from the ancient history of beer to beer gastronomy and busting beer myths. Kirrily is on a mission to change the story of beer and is introducing Australians to the benefits of pouring a fine sour – instead of a fine sav blanc – at the dinner table. Kirrily has won over many foodies, sophisticates and women to the complexities and diverse styles of beer.

Kirrily has judged at The Australian International Beer Awards, the Indies and The Great British Beer Festival in London and has completed the Brewing & Malting course at Ballarat University.

Her company, Beer Diva, has hosted over 500 corporate and public events and has facilitated over 300 barstaff training sessions, focusing on improving staff’s general appreciation of beer, with an emphasis on service and presentation.

Kirrily is the Editor of BeerStyle, is the co-owner of NightingAle, which curates a series of ‘elegant beer experiences’ and is also the beer ambassador for Dan Murphy’s.
